Kirk N. Walsh, MBA, CPCU
Biography. Kirk directs Risk International’s risk management practice group, operating from its Charlotte, North Carolina office. In this capacity, Kirk has P&L responsibility for the practice group at large, while at the same time maintaining direct responsibility for the firm’s Charlotte-based clientele. He also leads Risk International’s aerospace practice area. Kirk is a recognized expert in mitigating and transferring client risk and in minimizing all components of the “total cost of risk”. Kirk is also experienced in developing and implementing enterprise risk management (ERM) programs for multinational corporations.
In addition to his client work, Kirk serves as director of finance for the firm’s parent, Millennial Assurance Services, Inc., and serves on the Risk International and Millennial Assurance boards of directors. Kirk also serves on the board of First Charter Insurance Company, a corporate-owned captive insurance company domiciled in the state of Vermont.
Prior to joining the firm in 1995, Kirk was an investment executive in UBS/PaineWebber’s select mentoring program, located in Boston, MA. While in the program, Kirk worked with the firm’s top producing investment team while earning his Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses.
In the community, Kirk is the current Chairman of the Advisory Council and Executive Committee of the Boy’s and Girls Clubs of Greater Charlotte, Current Advisory Board and Executive Committee member of the Salvation Army’s Charlotte Area Command, former Chairman of the SunCom Cares Classic charity golf tournament and current Assistant Cubmaster of the Waxhaw Cub Scout Pack 53. Kirk is an active Christian and a member of Weddington United Methodist Church.
