insurance archaeology

Over the last two decades, Risk International has rediscovered and/or reconstructed over $41 billion in insurance policy limits. In over twenty-five years of searching through buildings, files, offices, court records, and documents we have learned what to look for and where to find it.

To date, we have recovered over $559 million in policyholder claims for our clients over a broad swath of industries.

Often our efforts uncover policies long hidden from view. When policies cannot be located we focus on finding secondary evidence of coverage. The evidence we obtain is then integrated with information from our proprietary database containing details for over ten thousand insurance policies spanning virtually every carrier of commercial hazard insurance.

Once the data gathering is complete, we package the information so that it is clear, compelling, and immediately usable for recovery of claims.

Archaeology is only the first step. Risk International goes beyond delivering complete historical insurance documentation to clients. What sets us apart is the proven ability to make claims recovery happen.

Our depth and experience not only assures successful completion of insurance archaeology work, it also makes it possible for us to develop an effective claims recovery strategy.
