Risk International Announces New President and CEO
Michael Davis assumes helm at global risk management services firm.
Akron, Ohio, November 2, 2009 Risk International (RI), a growing global risk management consulting firm known for its expertise in complex hazard risk and outsourcing capabilities announced today the promotion of Michael D. Davis to President and Chief Executive Officer. Davis takes on full responsibility for the company’s “top line” which includes 31 professionals and consultants, and $7 million in annual revenue. Davis’ primary focus will be the ongoing enhancement of RI’s comprehensive line of risk management services, while also overseeing the company’s client development efforts.
Chairman of RI’s Board, Doug L. Talley, praised Davis’ contributions to the company’s recent growth. “In a word, he delivers on the goals he sets, and they are clearly challenging. Each day, he demonstrates his outstanding technical capabilities, and exceptional leadership skills.
Over the last year, Davis revitalized RI’s sales force and marketing related processes. This resulted in the development of several new service offerings, along with increased revenues and profitability. Talley added, “I extend my personal congratulations and gratitude to Michael for his accomplishments. They are very impressive, and set a great example and pace for our growing organization.”

Though he relinquishes his role as Chief Executive Officer, Douglas Talley will continue as Chairman of the Board. He will have oversight of strategic initiatives, and devote greater focus and energy to executive and management development.
