Randall Davis Earns 2011 Distinguished Graduate Award.
Summary. Randall Davis receives award for earning the highest grade point average in The Institutes’ ARM-E program.
Fairlawn, Ohio, September 15, 2011 Randall Davis, Risk International Area Vice President, earned the 2011 Distinguished Graduate Award for having the highest grade point average in The Institutes’ Associate in Risk Management—Enterprise-Wide Risk Management (ARM-E) program. Mr. Davis achieved the highest combined score on the program’s four exams.
“This is a testament to Randall’s intellect and professional capacity, which he uses daily to serve his clients and protect their interests,” said Michael Davis, Risk International President and CEO. “Whether Randall is handling day-to-day management or the highest levels of strategic advice, his clients are fortunate to have him on their team.”
The Institutes (a combination of the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and the Insurance Institute of America) are the leading professional development associations in the risk management and property-casualty insurance industry. They provide textbooks and other technical insurance content, research and continuing education courses — as well as industry-revered designation and certificate programs, such as the ARM-E program.
Graduates of these programs earn professional credentials. Top graduates, like Randall Davis, also receive a commemorative plaque and monetary award for their exceptional performance. Mr. Davis’ $500 award was sponsored by the American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA). ARIA is an academic organization, which provides programs, awards and services that expand risk management and insurance knowledge.
“As a member of The Institutes’ Assessments Department, I can say that ARM-E is a difficult course. Randall should be proud of his achievement,” said Tony Biacchi, Executive Director of ARIA. “I’m happy that ARIA had an opportunity to recognize his academic accomplishment in a financial way.”
About Randall Davis
Randall Davis, MBA, IBD, ARM, ARM-E, ABCP, joined Risk International in 2002. He specializes in risk strategy, insurance program optimization, quantitative modeling, competitive and organizational dynamics, business continuity planning and enterprise risk management.
Before joining Risk International, Mr. Davis advised Fortune 100 clients in the global aerospace, defense and chemical industries, both with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Washington consulting practice and as a freelance management consultant.
He is an honors graduate with an M.B.A. from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, as well as an honors graduate in international business diplomacy from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service. Mr. Davis also graduated with honors from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in international relations and international business.
Today, he teaches risk management at The University of Akron and is a member of the university’s Finance Advisory Board. As an Eagle Scout, he is a proud supporter of scouting and serves his local Cub Scout pack as a Bear Den Leader.
Mr. Davis also is an accomplished vocalist, performing in Akron’s Summit Choral Society as a featured soloist and member of the Masterworks Chorale and Chamber Singers.
He lives in Copley, Ohio, with his wife and three children.
