Diane Burgoon Named Woman of the Year.

Charlotte, North Carolina, May 3, 2012 Diane E. Burgoon, Director of Risk Information Systems, has been named 2012 Woman of the Year by the Charlotte Association of Insurance Professionals. Ms. Burgoon was honored for her exceptional service to the association, community and industry.
“This award is the ultimate recognition from your peers for a job well done,” said Geraldine Plott, Charlotte Association of Insurance Professionals and 2011 Woman of the Year. “Diane never says ‘no.’ She just ‘does.’ Whether it’s getting up at 5 a.m. to cut up fruit at a Susan G. Komen race, helping with projects and events to raise money for scholarships, or spending time to help residents at a women’s shelter, Diane has a passion for serving others without expecting anything in return.”
The Charlotte Association of Insurance Professionals (http://caiw.org) is a member organization of the International Association of Insurance Professionals. It supports the educational and ethical advancement of insurance professionals through monthly programs and regular community volunteer activities. Programming and projects cover a variety of educational, social and community issues.

Diane Burgoon, CPCU, joined Risk International in 1986. In addition to her role leading the firm’s Risk Data Solutions application, she is responsible for client risk analysis and reporting, including premium and claim accounting, exposure data development, insurance budgeting and insurance renewal management.
With an extensive background in computer data analysis, Ms. Burgoon was instrumental in designing and implementing our in-house claims database. She customized the system to fit the needs of each of our customers.
Now as Director of Risk Information Systems, Ms. Burgoon is driving the development of a company-standard risk management information system (RMIS).
